Samsung is one of the top OEMs to release the first Android smartphone brand to release a new security update. Now, the Galaxy S22 Ultra and Galaxy S21 Ultra phone users in France market are now able to install the July 2022 security patch. Other countries could get this update within the next few days.
The July SMR (Security Maintenance Release) fixes a number of CVE and SVEs to maintain the security of the device. As of this writing, the OTA (over the air) update has hit units in France. It comes with firmware version G998BXXU5CVF3 (S21 Ultra) and S908BXXU2AVF9 (S22 Ultra).
If you are a Galaxy S22 series user in any of the countries mentioned above, you can check for the new update and download it by navigating to Settings » Software update and clicking on Download and install.
