Finally, Samsung Electronics has brought back its official One UI 5 beta announcement URL, which was taken down earlier. On August 07, 2022, Samsung started informing its Galaxy S22 series users that the One UI 5 open beta program is initially available on the Galaxy S22 series (Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra) in the United States, Germany, and South Korea.
Samsung also declared that users in the other regions will get One UI 5 beta in the coming months. According to the official changelog, One UI 5 brings several new features including new customization, security, and accessibility features.
“We know our users crave the ability to create their own individual mobile experience and we’re constantly looking to improve One UI to give people greater control and more options,” says Janghyun Yoon, Executive Vice President and Head of Software Platform Team of Mobile eXperience (MX) Business, Samsung Electronics. “We’re excited to offer early access to all the new customizable features that come with One UI 5 as part of an open beta and look forward to incorporating user feedback to develop a better and more meaningful experience for everyone.”
One UI 5: Tailored Look and Feel
Samsung’s latest One UI 5 open beta brings options to customize the look of the phone experience by using its set of color options for a more tailored look. Users now get up to 16 preset color themes based on their wallpaper and 12 more color options for their home screens, icons, and quick panels for a look and feel suited to their style.
You can also customize screens by using widgets of the same size on a single location. It makes your device easier to customize. One UI 5 beta now lets you block notifications from certain apps.
One UI 5: Enhanced Language and Sound Settings
The latest One UI 5 open beta comes with reorganized menus that help you sort all ringtone volumes and vibration intensities. For your information, Samsung provides for the very first time to users that now you can easily tailor their preferred language for their different apps. Whether they’re multi-lingual or just learning a new language, users can easily select which language will be used for each app in Settings.

Now you can easily capture high-quality photos and video with a new icon in Pro and Pro Video mode that offers useful tips and tricks on how to use the various lenses, features, and controls.
Now the zoom is more responsive. A new dashboard lets users view the security status of their phone, shows whether there are security issues, and recommends ways to fix them.
One UI 5 other features include – new accessibility options, a new way to read and view, and new spoken assistance — such as audio descriptions of videos and speaking keyboard input aloud.
