The leak of 990 PRO SSD first appeared at the start of this month. Now getting a hand on a fresh leak, the Samsung 990 PRO SSD has been spotted on the PCI-SIG website, and as per the data, it supports PCIe 5.0 x4 (32GT/s).
Earlier, the Samsung 990 PRO flagship SSD appeared on Korean RRA certification and is expected to be available soon with AMD and Intel’s next-generation platforms.
At present, Samsung’s flagship SSD is 980 PRO, PCIe 4.0 x4 specification, with a read speed of up to 7000MB/s, and 1TB is priced at 1099 yuan.
Currently, the Samsung 980 PRO specifications include, a pcie 4.0 SSD. It delivers read speeds up to 7,000 MB/s, making it 2 times faster than PCIe 3.0 SSDs and 12.7 times faster than SATA SSDs.
As far as the speed is concerned, the Samsung 980 PRO gains max speeds on PCIe 4.0 its performance was measured with Intelligent TurboWrite technology. Intelligent TurboWrite operates only within a specific data transfer size.
