Samsung has officially announced that the pre-orders of its newly launched fourth-generation foldable phones the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 are near to reaching the 1 million milestone. Samsung started pre-sold these two flagship folding screen mobile phones from August 16th to the 22nd, and at the time of writing this article, these two foldable phones’ pre-sale count has reached 970,000 units.
The number is huge as compared to the previous generation Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 (920,000 units), the pre-orders of the newly launched Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 have gained 5.4%, the highest among Samsung’s folding screen phones.
The average daily pre-order sale is more than 138,000 units, surpassing the Galaxy S22 series (more than 127,000 units) and setting a new sales record for the Galaxy series.
The South Korean tech firm also predicted that the number of users accessing the network on that day will exceed the record of the previous generation (270,000 units on the first day of access to the network). The pre-order will end on the 25th, and the phone will be available for sale on August 26, 2022.
Sales of the Fold 4 and Flip 4 have already surpassed the pre-sales of the Galaxy Note 20, which was released in 2020. At that time, the number of pre-orders for the Note 20 was around 700,000 units. Samsung Electronics aims to increase the sales volume of its foldable series and replace the Note series, which is in the process of being discontinued.
The fresh Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 sports a 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x cover display that offers a 120Hz refresh rate. It comes with a 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x screen that offers a 120Hz refresh rate. The foldable screen is integrated with a 4-megapixel under-display camera.
On the rear side, Samsung has given a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 10-megapixel telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom. The device houses a 4,400mAh battery, which supports 25W rapid charging.
