Samsung has started kicking off the Android 12L (One UI 4.1.1) update for its flagship tablet, Galaxy Tab S8. The company has officially listed new features that every Galaxy Tab S8 user going to experience.
A remarkable feature landing in the Android 12L update is the taskbar at the bottom of the screen. With the help of the taskbar, the UI looks more impressive than before. Now, you can easily switch apps with a handy customize layout.
Samsung says if you operate your Galaxy Tab S8 with the latest Android 12L version, the Split Screen View can give you the option to open up to three screens, the taskbar can be temporarily hidden for a more immersive screen view, notifications can be dragged straight into split screen and all apps can be viewed in a grid-style layout, to name a few of the changes users can expect.
The Android 12L recently arrived on the newly launched Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and it is also confirmed to land on the Galaxy Z Fold 3 soon.
Android 12L (One UI 4.1.1) Multitasking Made Easy Through Taskbar
- You can now eaisly customize your taskbar with your favorite apps and tap seamlessly and speedily between active sessions.
- You can now enter split screen by enabling the ‘Swipe for Split Screen’ option through Galaxy Labs. Here’ show you can do it. Go to Settings > Advanced Features > Labs > Click on “Swipe for split screen” to turn on the feature.
Android 12L (One UI 4.1.1): Maximizing Large Screen
The Android 12L (One UI 4.1.1) for the Galaxy Tab S8 series brings easy options to for your large screen. No matter if you want to visit any site or using any other app, you can now split screen and look all the screens in a single display.
Here’s how to do that: Open App pair (up to three apps at once) > Tap the three dots in the border between the apps > Click the star-shaped Favorite symbol > Add the app pair to taskbar.
Peek-Through Pop-Overs:
In Galaxy Tab S8, you can now manage the schedule events, settins with pop-overs. Here’s how to do that: Click on Samsung Calendar/Clock/Reminder > Plan a new event in a pop-over > Touch and hold the screen outside the pop-over to peek through.
Multi window for all apps
Android 12L now supports the third-party applications. In the coming months users will continue to see even more third-party apps optimized for larger-window experiences. To use it visit the Settings > Advanced Features > Labs > Turn on “Multi window for all apps”.
