As we live in a world surrounded by technology. It’s not false to say that we are addicted to emerging tech now. Whereas these play a vital role in our lives. Concurrently, the new technologies emerging every day overcome the previous ones. To be more specific, if talking about the smartphone industry whereby there’s a huge competition between the companies of having the tag of the best one. As a part of this competition, various Chinese brand suppliers will become ticklish. And this rivalry among the gadget (Smartphones) brands are more adhere to its offering features and functionalities.
Before smartphones came into existence, no one is giving that much importance to the tech specs. And now we enter into a new evolution of smartphones where companies have neck-to-neck competition. These become more challenging for the existing giants like Samsung and Apple. Especially when new emerging brands offer more cutting-edge techs with low pricing.
Galaxy S23 with rumoured 1080p resolution
The same happens with the upcoming Samsung upcoming flagship of 2023. As we have lots of rumours of the same from various sources. The device has rumoured to be equipped with 1080p resolution.
The same has been revealed by a recent tweet from famous tipster IceUniverse. Whereby it clearly indicates that Galaxy S23 is going to be packed with low-cost 1080p resolution. Although this resolution in Galaxy S23 makes it little of being having a flagship tag. As information reveals by various sources the Honor X40, Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi Civi 2 and other new models will be going to be equipped with Chinese screens. In addition to this, 1200p+ screens will become especially popular in sub-flagship models, that going to debut later this year.
In 2023, the 1220p resolution of Chinese brand mobile phones will become the new mainstream, and the corresponding Samsung S23/23+ will continue to adhere to the low-cost 1080p resolution, which may be the lowest resolution of the flagshipphone in 2023. Chinese brands will become the new mainstream in 2023
Chinese rival’s brand become the throbbing head of the Korean tech giant as well as for other existing brands. In from past few years, Chinese screens are gaining popularity among various brands. This increase in demand among mid to high-end flagship smartphones. And it is expected to increase the share of Chinese screens in the global market and will keep increasing in 2023. The screen with resolutions including 1200p+, 1300p+ and 1440p screens will gain popularity next year as depicted by various sources. Moreover, screens with the low-cost factor along with high resolution are the key factor.
As Chinese brands become the new main mainstream in the upcoming debut devices of 2023. While the Korean tech giant will continue to stick to low-cost 1080p resolution. Now it seems as if that bottle will soon turn for Samsung even, as these days they continuously troll to Apple iPhone 14 series for its 48 MP camera and not having a Flip device yet. So, would like to recommend Samsung. It’s really high time to think about this and increase the screen resolution of the upcoming Galaxy S23 as it carries the tag of the flagship.
Logic behind numbers
By the time high definition TVs came into trend, makers developed a shorthand (short form) in order to explain their display resolution. Often we see the numbers 720p, 1080p, 1140p or 4K. Here “p” and ‘i’ tell you whether it is a progressive scan or an interlaced-scan display.
Shorthand translates
Now, let’s have a look at shorthand translates:
- 720p means 1280 x 720 – and which is usually known as HD or “HD Ready” resolution.
- 1080p is equal to 1920 x 1080 – and is usually known as FHD or “Full HD” resolution.
- 1440p is equal to 2560 x 1440, commonly known as QHD or Quad HD resolution. Also, this is typically seen on gaming monitors and on high-end smartphones. While 1440p is four times the resolution of 720p HD or “HD ready.” Here to make things even more confusing, many premium smartphones feature a so-called 2960×1440 Quad HD+ resolution, which still fits into 1440p.
- 2712×1220 which is said to be 1.5k FHD and in terms of PPI then 446ppi.
- 4K or 2160p is equal to 3840 x 2160 and it is commonly known as 4K, UHD or Ultra HD resolution. It is a huge display resolution, and it is found on premium TVs and computer monitors. 2160p is called 4K because the width is close to 4000 pixels.
- 8K or 4320p is equal to 7680 x 4320 and it is known as 8K, it offers 16 times more pixels than the regular 1080p FHD or “Full HD” resolution. This has come on expensive TVs from Samsung and LG for now.
