By now, we are all well aware of the fact that Samsung is always high in the spirit of supporting their smartphones in terms of software support. They have excellent software support for all ranges of their devices.
Samsung already stands odd in its promises, as they provide four years of Android OS upgrades for select flagship and Galaxy A mid-range devices. Subsequently, these devices also receive five years of security patches. On the other hand, the large number of Android smartphone makers only provide two years of OS upgrades.
Now, reportedly after providing the September 2022 security updates to its Galaxy A52s, Galaxy S20 FE 5G, Galaxy S21, Galaxy S22, and the Galaxy Note 20 devices. While recently, Samsung released an update to its Galaxy S20 FE’s Snapdragon LTE version. And presently, this update has been rolling out in some Southeast Asian countries.
Galaxy S20 FE (SM-G780G) firmware version
In addition to this, the latest software update for the Galaxy S20 FE (SM-G780G) comes with a firmware version of G780GXXU3CVI1. Notably, the new firmware is available in Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam. And this brings the September 2022 security update that fixes over two dozen security vulnerabilities. This also going to fix general bugs and provide device stability improvements.
Steps to download the new security firmware
Now, if you are a Galaxy S20 FE user in any of the above-mentioned countries then you can download the update and install it by navigating to the following Settings:
- Go to the Settings
- Software update
- And tapping Download and install.
To add further, Samsung launched the Galaxy S20 FE’s Snapdragon LTE version after the Galaxy S20 FE faced a shortage of chip issues. And the same has been launched with Android 11-based One UI 3 and it received the Android 12 which is based on the One UI 4 update earlier this year. While it will get Android 13 and that going to be based on the One UI 5 update later this year.
