Tech forum 2022 event hosted by Samsung Electronics, the theme of the event is ‘Discover eXperience’ is held in San Francisco and Boston, USA. The event was organised on the 22nd and 24th of September. The motive of the event is to attract the next generation of talent in IT technology.
To be noted, the Tech Forum is an annual event that Samsung Electronics Device experience vertical has been running since 2017 in order to connect with top-notch development talent in the US. However, the same has been suspended due to the COVID-19 global pandemic scenario.
Therefore, this year’s Tech Forum has resumed after 3 years. It invited more than 200 PhD from reputed universities in North America. It includes MIT, Stanford, Caltech, and UC Berkeley, in the United States, over the course of two days.
This attracts talent from several research fields such as Artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, big data and display. The tech forum was attended by the executive and key executives of Samsung Electronics. It includes Samsung Research Institute President Seung Hyun-Joon, Samsung Research Institute Director Noh Won-il, and Vice President Nagi Hong, who is the Head of the Human Resources Team.
Seung Hyun-Joon, president of Samsung Electronics, said- “Millions of people around the world are using Samsung Electronics’ devices, and our products are incorporated into their lives, but we need to be ‘Thought Leaders’ in the midst of new times and challenges, joining the global discourse of using technology for better value and putting it to the right place.”
Mr Won also expresses his thoughts by saying – “Working at Samsung Electronics means leading people’s lives better through technology and becoming a leader in thought and culture, please join us on the journey of creating the future.”
Tech and Career Vision session
Additionally, in a separate Tech session event. Samsung Electronics executives gave presentations, questions and answers and in-depth discussions on 4 areas. It consists of AI, robotics, big data, and display respectively.
In the Forum, a Career Vision session was organised. Whereby Nagi Hong, Vice President of Human Resources at Samsung Electronics DX. He will give a presentation on multiple aspects and experiences for growth, organizational culture and well-being. And that can be immersed in research and development.
One of the attendees of the Samsung Electronics Tech Forum said- “Through today’s event, I was able to increase my understanding of Samsung Electronics’ R&D strategy and direction, as well as the organizational culture and personnel system that underpins it.”
