The South Korean tech firm Samsung has published a new patent for a camera with sensor-shift stabilization for future phones. According to the new report released by GalaxyClub, Samsung was testing phone cameras with sensor-shift image stabilization and then a whole generation of Galaxy phones have come and gone with classic OIS, where the lens is stabilized.

A new patent comes titled with Camera Module Including Image Stabilization Assembly, And Electronic Device Including Same.
In the patent, Samsung specifically describes one type of telephone camera: a telephoto camera with a periscope lens. Unlike the telephoto cameras of recent Ultra models – Galaxy S22 Ultra and earlier – it’s the camera sensor that can move. The lens is permanently mounted. The company may bring this camera on its next flagship device Galaxy S23 Ultra. Check the patent image below.
