On October 05, 2022, the South Korean tech firm, Samsung officially listed the new Odyssey OLED G8 with a bigger screen display and more.
As per the specification sheet, the all-new Odyssey OLED G8 monitor gets a model number (S34BG85) and it comes in a 34-inch 21:9 ratio size, 1800R curvature, 3440×1440 resolution, 175Hz maximum refresh rate, supports 48-175Hz VRR, has 10-bit color support and 1 million:1 contrast ratio.
For brightness, the company has added 250 nits, DisplayHDR True Black 400, which supports 0.1 ms GtG response time, and 99.3% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage.
As far as connectivity options are concerned, it comes with DC power input, Mini DP 1.4, Micro HDMI 2.1, full-featured USB-C (65W PD), and a USB-C downstream port with built-in integrated 5W stereo speakers.
The monitor includes a range of “Smart Hub” features that connect to WiFi to watch Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, Disney+, “Samsung TV Plus” without connecting to a computer.
Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 Availability
Samsung will start selling this monitor in the fourth quarter of this year, and the price information has not been announced yet.
