Samsung commence its Developer Conference (SDC) yesterday. And out of various announcements this year, this is one of the most awaited one’s as it includes One UI 5.0 update. It is based on Android 13. Additionally, one of the most certain yet pleasant factors is the news that depicts that the final One UI 5.0 update will start rolling out to the Galaxy S22 series in October. Samsung has confirmed the same at its SDC presentation while it going to reach a few other flagships before reaching 2023.
The galaxy S22 public Android 13 update is set to release somewhere in October 2022
As expected for a long time, the Galaxy S22 series phone is the first one that is eligible to receive a stable public version of Android 13 (One UI 5.0). As revealed by Samsung the public rollout will probably start before the end of the month. Whereas, it’s worth informing here that the specific timeline is not common for all markets. As we all evidence of the fact that Samsung is way ahead in terms of software support and update still it takes time for a global update. And same implies to the One UI 5.0 update.
To cut a long story short, Galaxy S22 owners have to wait until November to get the Android 13. On the other hand, One UI 5.0 will update once its beta program came to an end. Notably, Samsung has released four beta updates for its One UI 5.0 for the Galaxy S2 series till now. While there’s also a vibe in the air that there could be one more beta that is yet to release before its final version rolls out. Although, this isn’t confirmed at this point in time.
Additionally, we also expect the Galaxy S21, Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and Galaxy Z Flip 3 to receive Android 13 and One UI 5.0 before 2022 came to an end. Also, the Galaxy A53 might also get the update before next year. While it is also a little dubious as Samsung has been under beta testing One UI 5.0 for the Galaxy A52 instead of the Galaxy A53 respectively. Since this is the software update scenario, so there would be a possibility of a few delays for the earlier-mentioned flagships as well.
