On October 19, 2022, Google officially announced the Android 13 (Go edition). The latest edition comes with several new enhancements.
The Android Go edition launched five years ago. The Go edition was basically made for small storage devices and around 180 million people coming online in the last twelve months alone.
While launching the Android 13 (Go edition) Google also mentioned that there are now over 250 million monthly active devices powered by Android Go.
Android 13 Go Edition Material You
Google Android 13 Go edition comes with Material You for the very first time, so you can customize your entire phone’s color scheme to coordinate with your wallpaper.
So the new Android version lets you set your wallpaper image and you will get corresponding color schemes to choose from.
Android 13 Go Edition Discover Feature
Google said the latest Android 13 (Go edition) brings the Discover feature, letting you swipe right from your home screen to see a curated list of articles and other content.
Android 13 Go Edition Google Play System
Google has officially noted that with the latest Android 13 (Go edition), we’re bringing Google Play System Updates to Go devices which helps ensure devices can regularly receive important software updates, outside of the major Android release. Google requires at least 2GB of RAM for Android Go hardware.
Android 13 Go Edition Availability
The Android 13 (Go edition) will be available with devices launching in 2023.
