Recently, YouTube has made a very nice change. As per this redesign that has been rolling out, the Shorts will no longer be available in the same tab that earlier used to appear on the same Videos section on Channel pages. It is worth informing here, that YouTube Shorts has been the short form format and that has appeared everywhere across the service. Probably, the changes have been done after hearing feedback.
Now YouTube is rolling out separate tabs for videos, Livestream and for Shorts. Rather all content appears in the same “Videos” tab.
Combined with default behaviour, YouTube includes filters that weren’t sticky altogether. Moreover, shorts as brands converge to the format. Also, regular videos become huddled out and thus scrolling becomes quite annoying.
Shorts tab
In this tab, you’ll only see Shorts. Therefore, when you are watching YouTube Shorts in the Shorts feed and navigating to a creator’s channel from the feed. You will be directed right to this new tab to keep enjoying Shorts.
Live tab
As the name suggests, you’ll find all streams in this tab, including any that are currently active, scheduled, or archived.
Videos tab
This will continue to house long-form content, as we saw from starting onwards.
Now apart from the above-mentioned tabs, you’ll also get filters for “Recently uploaded” and “Popular.” This is rolling out recently and will be fully available “across all devices” in the coming weeks respectively.
