How to experience 837X
In order to visit 837X, there’s first need to connect with Decentraland. And once you’re online, your avatar will be dropped right outside of the spectacular virtual 837X building. Being there, you can enter the doors and immerse yourself in 837X.
Two ways to explore
There are two ways to explore Decentraland and 837X, that are mentioned and described below.
Log in
Logged-in users can customize avatars, collect badges and win exclusive wearables. Login by connecting your MetaMask wallet to access our full experience. MetaMask is a crypto wallet and browser extension that lets you create, explore and trade digital assets — all with robust security.
Join as a guest
You can also visit Decentraland and 837X as a guest, but ofcourse it is a limited experience.
Guests will not be able to collect NFTs or wearables, but you can hang out, explore, and enjoy the shows.
Install Metamask in Chrome
- Open a Chrome browser window.
- Log in to your Google account in Chrome.
- Click on the Settings menu in Chrome (three dots in the upper right corner).
- Select “More tools” and then select “Extensions.”
- Click on the menu in the upper left corner of Chrome next to “Extensions.”
- Select “Open Chrome Web Store” at the very bottom of the browser window on the left.
- Search the Chrome Web Store for “MetaMask.”
- Select MetaMask (one word) and select “Install.”
- MetaMask should now show up in your Chrome extensions.
Set up Metamask Wallet
- After it is installed, click on the MetaMask extension and follow the instructions to continue.
- Be sure to save the 12-word MetaMask passphrase you receive during registration. It’s important to keep the passphrase in a safe and secure place, like a safe deposit box or home safe, because it is required to access, use and trade your NFTs.
- For maximum security, do not take a photo or upload the passphrase to the web unless it is stored in a password-protected file.
- You will also be asked to set up a password to access MetaMask. Keep this safe and secure.
- Once your MetaMask wallet is set up in Chrome, you can log on to Decentraland and sign in.
Get a Decentraland passport and avatar
At the time, when you first visit Decentraland, there you will be guided through creating an avatar along with passport. This is to particiapte in Decentraland events. Now, here user will need to create a password by using MetaMask respectively.
After successfully following the above mentioned steps and by completing the Beginners Tutorial, you got your created avatar and password. This is where the journey to the world of excitment starts. Now click on “Explore the World” to teleport your avatar into the Decentraland Genessi Plaza. There, you can check out or teleport to the Samsung 837X experience from the link on the events page.
