Google Lens icon is now officially visible on the homepage of google.com. Google always tried to integrate some useful features on its search engine homepage. To recall, Google Lens was first announced at I/O 2017 and then the company added lens in several places.
First, it was available on Pixel phones in Assistant and Google Photos before expanding on Android and then the Google app on iOS, as well as mobile Chrome.
Earlier, Google Lens was jumped from phones to the desktop web including Google Photos and after that Chrome. In August, the company tried to add Lens in to Google images desktop web.
Google Lens on google․com homepage
Judging from the screenshot below, Google Lens is now visible next to the voice search button, tapping prompts you to “Search any image with Google Lens.” You can “Drag an image here or upload a file” and that will open a lens.google.com/search?p=… results page.
The google homepage doesn’t change often, but today it did. We’re always working to expand the kinds of questions you can ask and improving how we answer them. Now you can ask visual questions easily from your desktop. pic.twitter.com/p9ldYvXnTK
