The latest report from TheElec, Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra will use 2 camera modules supplied by China’s Sunny Optical company.
Sunny Optical will provide 12MP ultra-wide and 10MP folded zoom (10x) shooters for Samsung’s upcoming flagship. The related source also confirmed that Sunny Optical is the preferred supplier for these modules over the secondary vendor.
Sunny Optical had mostly supplied its cameras for Samsung’s mid-tier phones so the latest deal is a huge win for the Chinese firm.
The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra will launch with four cameras on its back; 200MP main, 12MP ultra-wide, 10MP telephoto, and 10MP folded zoom telephoto. And, for selfies, it will arrive with 12MP.
Along with Sunny Optical, Namuga and Samsung Electro-Mechanics will be supplying the ultra-wide and folded zoom telephoto, respectively.
The 10MP telephoto camera will be supplied by Mcnex and Partron. For the front 10MP camera, Namuga and Powerlogics are the suppliers.
Samsung Electro-Mechanics, Partron, Cammsys, and Powerlogics will be providing the two models with cameras for the S23 and S23+.
