In Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4, Partron (Parts Of Electronics) was the foldable smartphone camera module supplier. In Galaxy Z Flip 4, the front camera module was supplied by MCNEX and Cammsy. Samsung Electro-Mechanics, Power Logics, and Cammsys were major parts suppliers for the main camera.
In the case of Galaxy Z Fold 4, the camera module was supplied by Partron and the company was the second supplier after Samsung Electro-Mechanics in the field of Galaxy Z Fold 4 rear camera module.
Now, according to a new report from TheElec, Partron has been selected as one of the key suppliers of camera modules for Samsung Electronics next major flagship smartphones, including Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5, which are scheduled to be released in August next year.

The report also claimed that Partron’s name on the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is not spotted yet. In the case of the Galaxy Z Flip 5, front MCNEX, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, and Cammsys were designated as the primary partners, and China’s Sunny Optical was selected as the second supplier. For the Galaxy Z Fold 5, MCNEX, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, and Cammsys were the primary partners, and the secondary partner was Sunny Optical.
For the Galaxy S23 Series, Partron had a low percentage of major suppliers like Samsung Electro-Mechanics, Cammsys, Power Logics, MCNex, Namuga, and Sunny Optical were designated as primary suppliers for the Galaxy S23 series, while Partron was designated as secondary and tertiary suppliers for the model.
As per the latest research, foldable smartphone shipments are between 10 million and 15 million units per year, accounting for only about 5% of Samsung Electronics’ total smartphone production. On the other hand, the Galaxy A series and M series are models that produce tens of millions of units per year.
The South Korean tech giant’s foldable phone target is to fill more than 50% of premium phone sales with foldable phones by 2025.
