Just like in the past two years, the South Korean tech giant, Samsung will not unveil the new premium Galaxy S series in January. Now, several new reports have indicated that it is most likely to launch the upcoming Galaxy S23 Series in early February 2023 and the company will also set new standards among flagship mobiles in the industry.
Samsung is said to unveil three variants- a regular Galaxy S23, a standard S23 Plus, and a top-end S23 Ultra. In recent leaks and rumors the specifications, design, and color information have already appeared online. Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra with 8 GB of RAM has appeared on Geekbench several times and the latest 12 GB variant of the top-end device was spotted on the benchmark database with the mode SM-S918B. If we look at the benchmark scores of the single-core it received 1,495 points and in the multi-core, it got a score of 4,647 points. No, doubt the smartphone will debut with the 8-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC which will have a core clock rate of 3.36 GHz.
Now, if we check the top Android chart champions, currently the Lenovo Legion Y90 (Snapdragon 8 Gen 1) is leading with the performance and it got 1,190 points which is a huge +25.6% ahead of the upcoming flagship. Apart from the Lenovo Legion Y90, the Xiaomi 13 Series running Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 phones have also gained similar high single-core scores.
Qualcomm has recently unveiled the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and a good number of Android brands released mobile phones with this chip. In the latest AnTuTu Top 10 Android devices of December 2022, the Xiaomi 13 series ranked in 5th position. The Xiaomi 13 comes with a bright metal upright frame while the Pro variant has a curved screen. As far as the camera details are concerned, the Pro variant has an IMX989 1-inch outsole professional main camera.
The multi-core score for the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra 12GB variant is 4,647 points headed by the Realme GT Neo 3 with Dimensity 8100 on 3,847 points while if we look at the 8GB variant of S23 Ultra it got a multi-core score of 5,179 points, which is a good +11.4% more than the 12 GB model in this case.
Meanwhile, in the Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus we will get bigger batteries, improved displays, new selfie cameras, improved cooling systems, new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2(No Exynos), Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and 8K 30fps video recording.
