The Samsung Galaxy S20 series received the major Android 13 and One UI 5.0 update in early November 2022. After that, the company rolled out several minor updates to the Galaxy S20 lineup including security patch level too.
Now, the new year gift is getting ready for the Galaxy S20 Series users. Yes, you read it right, the South Korean tech giant is testing (via Twitter tipster Tarun Vats) One UI’s next version One UI 5.1 with the version number G980FXXUFHWA1/G980FOXMFHWA1/G980FXXUFHWA1 in India.
Samsung is expected to introduce the One UI 5.1 version at the Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event which is scheduled for February 01, 2023. The company will launch Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra alongside the Galaxy Book 3 series and more.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy S20 series has recently received the Maintenance mode update. It is a feature that Samsung announced in late October as a part of One UI 5.0. You can enable th Maintenance mode by tapping on the phone’s Settings » Device care menu. You can hide your personal data such as images, videos, and third-party apps while keeping all core functionalities enabled once you think to send your device for repair.
