Update 2 – January 19, 2023: Samsung is rolling out the 360 Degree firmware version for the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro in China with the build number R510XXU0AWA5 for the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. After updating the headset, use the Samsung camera app to record video and the headset will be able to capture immersive 360-degree audio.
Update 1 – January 12, 2023: Recently we reported that Samsung is planning to bring a new software update related to the 360-degree audio for the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. Now, according to the information (via Twitter user @SamLatestUpdates) Samsung has started rolling out this update in Korea.
The all-new 360 Degree Audio Recording update for the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro is rolling out with the firmware version R510XXUOAWA4/R510XXUOAWA4 and the update size is 5.76MB.
When you wear the buds and play the video after shooting it in the Samsung Camera app, you can experience the lively recorded sound of the scene. Currently, this feature is available on Flip 4 and Fold 4. Also, devices running One UI 5 will also get the same support.
Note that the latest firmware update is available after upgrading the Galaxy Wearable App to the latest version. The update also applied a stabilization code. Samsung says the 360 Audio Recording is made possible through “leveraging” LE audio.
