Samsung is one the best OEMs to provide the latest security patch update to even aging devices. Samsung has reportedly released its February 2023 security update to a nearly five-year-old Galaxy Note 9. Currently, the update is available only in a few European countries.
As reported by a Reddit user, the newly released February 2023 security software update for the Galaxy Note 9 has the firmware version N960FXXSAFWB3. The update is currently available in Germany, but other European countries are anticipated to receive it in the coming days. The security patch fixes a lot of privacy and security vulnerabilities. It consists of Android OS fixes issued by Google and vulnerability fixes on Samsung’s own software.
If you live in Germany and own a Galaxy Note 9, you can now download and install the newest software update by going to Settings > Software update and selecting Download and install.
For your information, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 was launched in August 2018 with a Super AMOLED display, a 4000mAh battery, and S-Pen. The smartphone came with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 under the hood and 6GB RAM paired with 128GB Storage.
