The core information of the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 has been leaked. The company is working on different CPU configuration approaches. According to the tipster Revegnus, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 to to 1+5+2 layout.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC Specifications
It will come with one Cortex-X4 core running at 3.2 GHz, five Cortex-A720 cores will be clocked at 3.0 GHz and two Cortex-A520 cores at 2.0 GHz. This is far more likely, as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will require all the performance cores it can get to achieve 1,930/6,236 points in Geekbench’s single and multi-core tests, as foretold by another leak.
The single-core and multi-core scores have also been provided in the tweet above, so Qualcomm is likely going ‘all in’ on the performance front to make sure that it gains an edge against its competitors.
It is said to get UFS 4.1 memory, LPDDR5 7,500 MT/s RAM, an Adreno 750 GPU and a Qualcomm X75 5G modem. It will be manufactured on TSMC’s N4P process node. If everything goes well as per the leak the Galaxy S24 series may take advantage of having UFS 4.1 storage.
