On March 13, 2023, Samsung officially introduced the all-new 2023 sound bar in the Korean market. The latest product is launched with the model number HW-Q990C and is included in the Q series. The company claimed that the performance of the new sound bar has been greatly enhanced compared to the previous model.
Samsung HW-Q990C Features
The Samsung HW-Q990C sound bar provides 3D surround sound by applying 11.1.4 channel speakers and ‘Dolby Atmos’. Q Symphony is Samsung’s proprietary technology that realizes optimal surround sound by using the speakers installed in both devices at the same time when the TV and sound bar are connected.
In the past, Q Symphony, which used the sound bar’s own algorithm, analyzes voice and surround sound with the TV neural network processing algorithm (NPU Algorithm) in 2023 to provide users with more realistic and immersive sound.
“The 2023 Samsung Soundbar has been upgraded with richer sound and sensuous design,” said Kim Chul-gi, vice president of Samsung Electronics’ visual display division.
With Samsung’s SmartThings, you can easily control several smart home devices with the SmartThings app. The South Korean tech giant also included the Game Mode Pro, which optimizes the existing gaming environment when linked with Samsung TV’s Gaming Hub.
The new Samsung sound bar comes in deep Titan Black color and the price is 1.89 million won. Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics plans to introduce five new models of soundbars to the domestic market in the first half of this year, including the HW-Q990C.
