In 2023, the huge selling point of a flip phone is all about the cover display size. The latest Oppo Find N2 Flip was launched with a 3.26-inch AMOLED screen placed vertically on the cover while Samsung uses a 1.9-inch horizontally placed screen. On the cover screen, you can check the notifications, add widgets or access the control centre. Also, you can apply different types of wallpapers.
Biggest Flip Phone Cover Screen Race
Currently (March 2023), only the OPPO Find N2 Flip offers the largest cover screen and now according to new reports, the South Korean tech giant Samsung is working on the next Z Flip 5 smartphone with a bigger screen outside. Apart from Samsung, Motorola is also in the race.
Now, a tipster SuperRoader has shared a new render of the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 5. It gives a look at the two cover screen. As per the render below, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 foldable smartphone will have a centre punch-hole like its predecessor.
The rear design of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 shows a dual-camera unit, an LED flash, and a small cover display. The latter will display information such as a clock, battery status, and AR emojis.
The cover screen size is 3.4 inches and offers an aspect ratio of 1:1.038. Here you can manage your notifications, widgets, and quick settings, and work as a camera viewfinder.
The images show that the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will have flat edges and rounded corners. With the implementation of a new hinge, it appears that the Z Flip 5 will not have any gap between its two halves.
Meanwhile, earlier it was reported that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 will come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy, offer long battery life, better cameras, and IPX8-rated water resistance.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 Launch Date
According to the leak and rumors, Samsung may launch its new Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 in August 2023.
