Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 foldable phones are rising excitement among tech enthusiasts with the latest leaks and reports. In a recent report, it was confirmed that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected to be lighter and thinner compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold 4.
The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is said to launch with 250 grams weight, which is 13 grams lighter than the Galaxy Z Fold 4. Another significant improvement is the thickness of the device when folded. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected to be only 13.4mm thick when folded, compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 4, which had a thickness of 14.2mm.
Samsung is also working on a new teardrop-shaped hinge design. This new hinge design reportedly eliminates the gap between the two sides of the folded phone, allowing for a thinner profile when folded. The company is also expected to remove the S Pen on the Galaxy Z Fold 5 design. This is due to the device’s reduced thickness and internal space limitations.
Apart from the specifications, the color details of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 have also been revealed by Ross Young, the CEO of DSCC. According to the information, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected to be available in Beige, Black, and Light Blue color options. While Galaxy Z Flip 5 will be available in Beige, Gray, Light Green, and Light Pink.
Previous rumours have suggested that Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 5 may come with a 6.2-inch full-HD+ display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a 23.1:9 aspect ratio. The storage option you may get – 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB UFS 4.0. The same storage options as the current iteration should also be available for the Galaxy Z Flip 5.
As per a recent leak, the cover display of Galaxy Z Flip 5 will be 3.4-inch in size, making it bigger than other clamshell foldable phones available in the market.
