On April 11, 2023, Samsung Display reportedly agreed to provide organic light-emitting diodes (OLED) to Ferrari. Both companies signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) at the Asan Campus in Chungcheongnam-do to develop a display solution for Ferrari’s next-generation vehicles.
The company is expected to use its latest Digital Cockpit which was announced at CES this year. The 34-inch OLED installed in the new digital cockpit is equipped with bendable technology that bends left and right at 700R. This product provides an optimal viewing distance for drivers.
Samsung Display said, “Samsung OLED has excellent design scalability with a light and slim structure and thin bezel, and can express perfect black and deep contrast, so it will meet the demand of automobile manufacturers who want innovative and luxurious designs.” This increases the efficiency of the car,” he explained.
“Ferrari is a luxury company that provides a special experience, not just a means of transportation,” said Benedetto Vigna, CEO of Ferrari. We will maximize it.”
Samsung Display CEO Joo-seon Choi said, “Based on our OLED technology, we will introduce a cutting-edge display solution suitable for Ferrari.”
