Last week, Samsung released the One UI 5.1 update to the Galaxy S21 FE in Europe, India and the US. However, in the US, the update was released with the February 2023 security patch. Verizon is now rolling out the April 2023 security patch update for the Galaxy 21 FE in the United States. The update carries firmware version G990USQS6EWC3. The update is also available from Metro PCS and T-Mobile.
The April 2023 security patch fixes over 60 security flaws found in Galaxy smartphones. If you have the Galaxy S21 FE and if you live in the US, you can now download the new update by navigating to Settings > Software update > tapping Download and Install.
Samsung launched the Galaxy S21 FE back in 2022 with Android 12. The device received the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update in late 2022. It also recently received the One UI 5.1 update a few weeks ago. The smartphone will also get an Android 14-based One UI 6 update later this year.
