Samsung’s Weather app comes pre-installed. However, the app does not show by default on the Apps screen, so it can be difficult to find on your phone. To find the Weather app, pull up the Apps screen and type “Weather” on the search bar. The app should appear in the search result. Alternatively, you can go to Settings > Apps, scroll down to find and tap Weather, and on its app info page, tap Open.
How to Use the Samsung Weather App
In the Weather app, you’ll see your location’s weather data and other details including alerts, forecasts, the UV index, humidity, wind speed, sunrise and sunset timings, AQI (air quality index), pollen, driving difficulty, and running conditions.
You can change it, if the set location is incorrect, by following the below steps:
- Tap the hamburger icon (the three horizontal lines) to reveal the navigation menu, then tap Manage Locations.
- Tap the + icon and type the name of your city and select it from the list of results.
- Long-press on your city and tap Set Favorite> OK.
We can even change the weather settings by tapping the gear icon in the navigation menu. Changing the unit of temperature (Celsius or Fahrenheit), giving permission to use your current location to get more accurate weather data, and changing the frequency of the auto-refresh to quickly fetch new weather data.
Auto refresh which uses the physical activity permission on your phone to deliver “more frequent weather updates when you’re driving, biking, running, or walking.” To add the app to your app drawer and make it easier to find next time, toggle on Show Weather on the Apps screen.
