Google is working on new designs or tweaks for its Chrome on Windows, Mac, and Chromebooks for the last couple of months. As per the latest report from 9To5Google, Chrome’s Material You design showing off changes.
Ahead of the Google I/O, the new screenshot below shows the refresh of Chrome. You can see now the address bar is now thicker. The URL of the current page appears in a smaller font, while icons on either side are now larger. The address bar area also has curved edges, a small detail that helps sell the “Material” metaphor.
The SSL certificate icon has now changed to a toggle icon. This change makes it more obvious that settings for cookies and web permissions are located there. If you browse an insecure website, the usual “Not Secure” warning appears in a colorful chip.
