In the recent Google I/O conference, the company assured to bring two new apps to the Wear OS watches. Now, it seems like it is the first installment of its promise made last year. Notably, it has been disclosed to come with the Gmail app and Calender for Wear OS. This would include the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 5. Since the news was revealed by the official source so it is trustable. On the other hand, WhatsApp Messenger has made its presence to the smartwatch audience. Therefore, it is quite possible that the tech giant does not consume more time for the watch version.
To be very honest, then both Google and Facebook are late to launch their respective apps on smartwatches. On the other hand, Facebook has the Messenger app on Apple Watch but shockingly not for Wear OS. Also, the Gmail rival service Microsoft Outlook there for Wear OS and Tizen OS from way back. Noticeably, it has excellently crafted for small hands, also it works absolutely fine. In addition to this, WhatsApp’s rivals including Telegram and KakaoTalk also bring down the smartwatch platform back in 2021 along with its original features.
Wear OS 4 will be the first to bring Gmail and Calendar apps
Gmail is one of the most famous email apps almost on every platform including smartphones. And now apparently with the trend, it will come to watches as well. Previously, Google has introduced its YouTube Music, Google Maps, Google Home, Play Store, and many other apps. Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 5 support Wear OS 3 and stepping ahead to Wear OS 4. Thus, it will be the first to bring Gmail and Calendar apps. Notably, the Galaxy Watch 6 series will launch in Galaxy Unpacked in August. Whereby, it depicts the first glance of forthcoming software, apps, and services.
