Gboard toolbar redesign is one of the most anticipated things to happen, so everyone is curiously waiting for Google to roll out the same. But here’s another alteration to appreciate since Google is working on a new “Resize” UI.
Therefore, “Resize” would be going to be another shortcut in the forthcoming toolbar or panel redesign. It enables you to adjust the height of keys and the panel as well. It is achieved by dragging up/down from the top or bottom edge.
In order to do this customization, one needs to go to Settings Keyboard height with seven options: Extra-short, Short, Mid-short, Normal, Mid-tall, Tall, and Extra-tell. While this is considered to be the most easier to access and less cumbersome.
Additionally, talking about the updation is the way how you can move the resized keyboard up the screen. Therefore the empty space left between the bottom edge and the system status bar. Although, the feature is still in the development stage. Thus, it is expected that might alter and come up with a completely new way to edit keyboard height.
Also, it is very much the same as the One-handed and Floating modes. The only difference in this way is that there’s no option to adjust or change the width in the current UI. Whereas, it will always acquire or span the entire width of your screen. Considerably, this is an option some might want. Heading to the other two existing modes then you can shrink the height. Although, it would proportionally become narrower. Gboard 13.0 comprise new work on Tabletop mode for foldable. However, the tweaks are not live yet.
