Samsung has officially launched the new fifth-generation foldable devices – Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 – in a global launch event in South Korea on 26 July 2023. Besides the foldable handsets, the company also launched Galaxy Watch 6 series and Galaxy Tab S9 Series, which are now official.
Four years ago, the South Korean tech giant introduced the foldable device line-up in markets and the company brought new smart products with new heights. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 foldable phone was lauched with a dual-SIM (Nano or Nano+eSIM) and runs on Android 13-based One UI 5.1.1. Following the latest security update policy, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will also get four OS upgrades and five years of security updates.
The Z Fold 5 flaunts a 7.6-inch QXGA+ (2,176 x 1,812 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex Display. It has an external 6.2-inch full-HD+ (2,316 x 904 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display with an adaptive refresh rate that ranges between 48Hz and 120Hz.

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is available in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage variants. It packs with a 4,400mAh battery, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 can be charged to 50 percent in 30 minutes with a 25W adapter. The phone has an IPX8 rating for water resistance.
