Galaxy S24 to feature two-way satellite connectivity

Samsung Galaxy S24 series is expected to be launched in the first quarter of 2024. According to the latest information, the upcoming Galaxy S24 lineup to come with Satellite communication support. The Korean Minister of Science and ICT is now confirmed that Samsung to include commercialize Satellite communication on the new Galaxy S lineup.

In an interview with Yonhap News (via @Tech_Reve), Lee Jong-ho, Minister of Science and ICT in South Korea, claimed “I cannot say for sure, but I know that the domestic industry is considering commercializing the service next year, expecting that a standard related to satellite communication will be prepared next year.”

Global smartphone makers such as Apple have commercialized services that transmit distress signals sent by users through satellites in situations where communication networks are poor, but Samsung Electronics has not installed satellite communication services in its new products such as the Galaxy Z Flip and Fold 5.
