According to Counterpoint Research, the South Korean tech giant Samsung’s market share in the foldable smartphone segment in China was 26% in the first quarter of 2023, the company seems gained a huge growth compared to the market share of just 6% recorded in the first quarter of 2022.
The Chinese tech giant Huawei was the leader in China last year with a market share of 57%, but the company’s market share almost halved to 27% in the first quarter of 2023 despite the release of the impressive Mate X3.
OPPO increased its market share from 18% last year to 27% and HONOR and Vivo also improved their respective positions, while Xiaomi’s market share decreased despite the launch of MIX Fold 2, the most foldable smartphone thin in the world.
