Samsung Galaxy S23 series phones were the first to grab the August 2023 security update. The South Koran tech giant Samsung has recently revealed the new features for the S23 Ultra camera. It includes zoom functionality for the device as well as several optimizations for camera quality and camera/gallery performance.
The August 2023 camera update for the S23 Ultra also brings a new 2x zoom option for photos and video, where the “high-resolution sensor crops to provide optical lens-level image quality.”
In Camera Assistant, users can head to Camera Assistant > enable Crop Zoom (Optical Quality Crop Zoom).

Keep your photos safe with Samsung Gallery’s lock feature
- Click on the gallery version 5 times to enable gallery labs.
- Select an album and tap on “More” >”Lock album”.
- To unlock an album,open it and tap on 3 dots menu>”Unlock album”.
