Google has recently released the beta version of its Android 14 QPR1. The all-new beta version brings some key changes and upgrades. According to the latest information, Google Pixel phones will show battery cycle counts starting with Android 14 QPR1 this can be done via visiting phone Settings > About Phone, a new “Battery Information” section will appear on Google Pixel devices.
This includes the manufacturing date of the battery, as well as the count of charge cycles that the battery has gone through.
The latest feature will help users to check how old their battery is and what it has gone through. However, it doesn’t show a quick and easy-to-understand stat called “battery health” or the most a battery can hold.
Google may bring new advantages in future related to batteries. We don’t know yet if all Android phones will get this change, but at least Pixel phones will get it.
