Samsung officially shared news related to the Global Customer Relationship Management system. The company has now received ISO 27701 certification, the international personal information protection management system standard.
ISO 27701, established in 2019, is a global standard system consisting of 28 essential requirements and 149 detailed control items , including personal information protection-related policies , organizations , and risk assessments. Recently, Google, Microsoft (MS), and Amazon Web Services ( Major global IT companies such as AWS) also acquired it one after another.
It has been officially verified that it has global-level management capabilities for personal information protection. In particular, this ISO 27701 certification was evaluated as meaningful in that it passed the certification review with Samsung Electronics’ own capabilities through close collaboration between the Management Innovation Center and the Personal Information Protection Office without external consulting.
