Galaxy Z Flip 6 will come with a 4000 mAh battery

Samsung is working on its new foldable devices – Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. The phones are expected to be announced mid-way in 2024 and will replace the currently available Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5.

There’s now a new leak that once again sheds light on the battery information of Samsung’s upcoming foldables, suggesting larger batteries this year. As per the recent report, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is to get more display changes. However, these changes are mainly to do with the inner display’s bezel, which the source claims will appear thinner than the outgoing model. Now the battery information of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is revealed by GalaxyClub site.

Galaxy Z Flip 6 will have a larger battery

Samsung is currently testing batteries for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 that are much larger than those of its predecessor. As of now, the current Galaxy Z Flip 5 has two batteries. One has a rated capacity of 971 mAh, the other of 2620 mAh. Together they have a rated capacity of 3591 mAh, which in practice equates to an advertised capacity of 3700 mAh.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 comes with a rated capacity of 1097 mAh, the other of 2790 mAh. Together this makes a rated capacity of 3887 mAh. For comparison, the Galaxy S24 has a rated capacity of 3880 mAh, and an advertised typical capacity of 4000 mAh. It could therefore be that the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will soon have a battery capacity of 4000 mAh.

Apart from the above, the South Korean tech giant, Samsung has already registered the names of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Flip 7 in various markets.
