Camera Moderator replied on Lens Switch Issue of Galaxy S24 Ultra

Galaxy S24 Ultra lens issue

Several users are reporting issue related to the camera lens switching on the Galaxy S24 Ultra. One user noted “I have seen there is an issue with the camera shifting when moving between 1x 3x and 5x zoom. From what I understand, the image shifts when zooming in. I believe both devices I have been doing this, but wanted to get some feedback before I try to swap or return the phones. Can any one on here confirm they are having the same issue.”

Another user said “I’ve seen an online discussion on X about the camera shifting problem and sadly mine is facing the same issues. My picture is shifting while moving around and/or changing the zoom lens to 3x or 5x, I’ve read that it’s a lens shifting issue because of the lens placement which is quite normal but somehow I still see the issue while always on the 1x lens.”

Official response

In response, the Samsung Camera Moderator replied on the Lens Switch Issue of Galaxy S24 Ultra and said “In relation to lens switching during camera shooting, we provide the ability to take photos/videos at various angles of view through each camera lens. However, when switching camera lenses, the angle of view/view that may occur due to the physical location of each camera lens module is physically different. Parallax may occur, and solutions that minimize the difference between camera lenses and enable smooth connection are always in operation.”
