Samsung ranks first in the global TV market

Samsung has officially announced that it has achieved first place in the global TV market for 18 consecutive years since first achieving first place in 2006.

As per the market research firm Omdia, the South Korean tech giant Samsung recorded a 30.1% market share in the global TV market in 2023 based on sales.

The top-gaining products are Neo QLED, ultra-large size, and lifestyle products. For your information, back in 2023, Samsung sold 8.31 million units of QLED, Neo QLED. Since Samsung first introduced QLED in 2017, it has been leading the premium TV market, selling a total of about 44 million units over the seven years until last year.

In the premium TV market priced over $2,500, Samsung recorded a 60.5% market share based on sales last year. This figure is a 12.2 percentage point increase compared to 48.3% in 2022, showing its unrivaled influence in the premium TV market.

In the 75-inch and larger ultra-large market, Samsung recorded a 33.9% market share based on sales.
