According to the latest information, a new patent appeared on the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) giving a glimpse into the display’s cylindrical roller design.
Samsung is working on a third type of foldable smartphone with a dual-folding display. The new patent info revealed that the company could be working on a smartphone with a screen stretching to the right.
The drawings give us a glimpse into how the upcoming device will work in FIG. 1A, it’s closed up. Then, in FIG. 1B, it’s starting to open, like stretching out. FIG. 1C shows it fully open. FIGS. 2A and 2B show the screen when it’s fully open. FIGS. 3A and 3B focus on the screen itself. FIG. 4A is about the hinge when it’s open. FIG. 4B shows the hinge from the side when it’s open. And finally, FIG. 4C shows the hinge when the device is closed.
