Samsung has finally released the One UI 6.1 update for the Chinese units of Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S22. Apart from China, the South Korean tech giant has already released the One UI 6.1 update to several high-end phones, including Galaxy S21, Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy A54, Galaxy Z Fold 3 and more devices in many countries.

Search instantly
Instantly search for anything on the screen : A new way to search easily for images or text on the screen without switching apps. Press and hold the home button or navigation button, then circle or click the text or image you want to search to search.
Create high-quality images
Easily improve your results : Get suggestions to improve your photos and videos. When you click the i button in the album, improvement suggestions will appear. You’ll find options for star trails, coloring, and more.
Copy and paste from one image to another : add missing elements to your images. Just press and hold to cut an object from the album picture and copy it to the clipboard, then go to the picture where you want to paste the object and select “Paste from Clipboard” in the “More Options” menu.
Picture cropping is more precise : get the exact area you need to crop without leaving any extra parts. When cutting a picture object in an album, you can choose to edit the selected area before saving to ensure the cut is just right.
Optimized album search function : The search interface has been redesigned to make it easier to use. Search results are now sorted by different types such as people, places, albums or stories.
Change playback speed : Changing the playback speed is now supported when editing videos in the photo album. You can have the video play faster or slower in specific parts of your choice or throughout the video.
Edit videos on multiple devices : Now you can continue editing videos on your phone, tablet. Supports opening project files you previously exported from Video Editing Studio on other Galaxy devices.
Customize your Galaxy
New wallpaper editing feature : Decorate your wallpaper however you want. You can now apply frames and effects when selecting a picture to use as your wallpaper. If your wallpaper contains people or animals, you can apply a depth effect to make the object stand out from the background.
More lock screen widgets : The lock screen and screen alerts display additional widgets so you can quickly view useful information without unlocking your phone. New widgets include weather, Samsung Health, battery, reminders, calendar and clock.
Custom alarm reminder : Use pictures, videos or animated photos to create a customized reminder interface for each alarm clock. You can even change the layout of the alarm information displayed on the screen.
More stickers to personalize your calendar: You can now add up to 2 stickers to each date on your calendar. In Month view, event stickers now appear next to the event name.
Improved calendar settings : Calendar settings have been reorganized and are now more intuitive and clear. You can also set a background color and image for full-screen calendar reminders.
Custom reminder background : Create the right background for your reminder. You can now set a background color and image for full-screen reminders.
Do more with reminder categories : You can now choose a representative icon for each reminder category. You can also pin frequently used categories to the top of your category list.
Turn mode on or off from the home screen : Turning mode on and off is faster than ever. New Patterns and Routines widgets let you add patterns directly to your home screen.
Rearrange modes : You can now change the order of modes listed on the Modes tab in Modes and Routines.
New Routine Conditions : You can now start a Routine when the selected alarm starts sounding, or when SmartView connects or disconnects.
Lelumeno Contours : Turn on Lelumeno Contours in accessibility settings to highlight the outlines of objects in pictures and videos so that people with low vision can more easily distinguish them.
Manage your health
Enhanced exercise experience : Compare your past running results in Samsung Health and try to beat your previous results. You can also clip exercise time after it ends to remove any unnecessary time at the beginning or end.
More options for daily activity goals : You now have more options for setting daily activity goals in Samsung Health. If a step goal doesn’t work for you, try climbing stairs or moving hours instead.
Improved cycle tracking : When recording physical symptoms and mood, the top of the screen displays options you’ve used frequently in the past. If the default options don’t suit your taste, you can now customize the settings.
More improvements
Easier access to video call effects and microphone modes : Video call effects and microphone modes will now appear in the quick panel during voice and video calls over network traffic. You can set a background color or picture, and you can also highlight your own voice through things like vocal mode.
Open all minimized apps at the same time : When you minimize multiple pop-ups, you can reopen all minimized apps at the same time through a new button.
More ways to protect your battery : 3 different protection options are available for you to choose from to help extend the life of your battery. Basic protection maintains charge between 95% and 100%. Adaptive protection pauses charging while you sleep and completes charging before you wake up. You can also choose to limit the maximum charge level to 80% for maximum protection.

After the Samsung Connect app version is updated, the name is changed to SmartThings.
