Samsung introduces the Galaxy Quantum 5 quantum-secured phone

Samsung has now announced a new phone called the Galaxy Quantum 5. It’s a special, very safe version of their Galaxy A55 phone.

Samsung worked with two other companies, SK Telecom and ID Quantique, to make this phone. They put a special security chip in it that uses something called quantum cryptography.

Samsung Quantum 5 sports a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Exynos 1480 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and runs on the Android 14 operating system. The device is equipped with a Quantum Random Number Generator (QRNG) chip from ID Quantique.

The phone’s camera setup includes a 50MP primary rear camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, a 5MP macro camera, and a 32MP front-facing camera. Additionally, it houses a 5,000mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging.

Priced at KRW 618,200 ($465), the Quantum 5 is available in three color options: Awesome Ice Blue, Awesome Lilac, and Awesome Navy.
