A reliable tipster on X shared information about Samsung’s Exynos 2500 chip and believed that it would be equipped with the Galaxy S25 series of mobile phones to be released next year.
The Exynos 2500 chip was spotted with the model number s5e9955, equipped with a 10-core CPU, Xclipse 950 GPU (Samsung’s next-generation chip is expected to use this GPU), 14GB RAM, Android 15 system, and a display with a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels.
Samsung will probably use two different types of chips in their next top phones. As per the info, the regular Galaxy S25 and the S25 Plus will have Samsung’s own Exynos 2500 chip. But the best model, likely called the S25 Ultra, might use a chip from another company called Qualcomm.
Android Authority as reporting that the “System Name” category in the picture mentioned the term “ERD”, which should be “Exynos Reference Design”.
This means that this could be a device used to test the Exynos 2500 SoC and not necessarily a Galaxy S25 series phone.
