Samsung is working on its next Android tablet devices. The South Korean tech giant is expected to release its Galaxy Tab S9 tablets in the second half of 2023.
As per the recent leak, Samsung is said to be using the OLED display for its Tab S9 lineup. The company has been using AMOLED displays in its flagship tablets since 2014’s Galaxy Tab S series.
The much-awaited Galaxy Tab S9 Series will likely feature the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip as seen in the Galaxy S23. That chipset offers impressive flagship-grade performance.
In fact, we recently saw the Geekbench results for the purported Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra (SM-X916B). It notched a single-core score of 2,054 and a multi-core total of 5,426. The Galaxy S23 Ultra averages a single-core score of 1,870 and a multi-core score of 4,938. The Ultra variant is also said to launch with a 10,880mAh battery, which would be smaller than the Tab S8 Ultra’s 11,220mAh battery. The base Tab S9 model may pack a 8,500mAh battery instead of the 8,000 mAh of its predecessor.
Now, the Twitter tipster Revegnus has shared the storage information of the upcoming Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra. According to the leaker, the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra is to launch with three storage options.
- 8 GB LPDDR5X, 128 GB UFS 3.1
- 12 GB LPDDR5X 256 GB UFS 4.0
- 16 GB LPDDR5X 512 GB UFS 4.0
Samsung is rumored to launch the Galaxy Tab S9 series alongside its new foldable Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Watch 6 smartwatch. The whole lineup of tablets is also expected to adopt water resistance, a first for Samsung’s flagship tablets.
