Flex Mode in action
Now the flex mode in the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Fold 4 may add a little tweak, especially for the gaming enthusiast. Samsung being the innovator in many out-of-the-box features, one of the unique gadgets that Samsung came up with for its foldable series is the ostensible Flex Mode.
How Flex Mode functions
The functioning of flex mode is basically a mode that some apps switch to if you don’t open or close a Flip or Fold all the way. Here in this, the screen then splits into two parts, with some functions in each – Let’s consider an example – a video or text window above the fold, and other content or a keyboard below i.e on another part of the screen.
And hence, one of the logical applications of this is to provide a split interface altogether. Where the top half of the folded screen shows the game or display. While the bottom half ends up with separate controls or a different perspective. To understand this well, Samsung itself shows short demo videos for both game engines.
Now the possibility is to have a serious gaming experience using the same in the upcoming foldable devices. Although Samsung already put the information about the implementation in games with the Unreal or Unity Engine.
